Author Guideline

Before submitting a manuscript to SOLUSI: Jurnal Kajian Ekonomi dan Bisnis, authors are expected to carefully follow the journal's manuscript preparation and submission guidelines. Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the following requirements:

  1. Title:
    • The title should be concise, informative, and clearly reflect the objective and main subject of the manuscript.
    • Avoid unnecessarily long titles and ensure that the title accurately represents the content of the article.
  2. Author Information:
    • Provide the full name of each author.
    • Include the institutional affiliation of each author.
    • Provide an active email address for each author. Institutional email addresses are strongly recommended.
    • Clearly identify the corresponding author.
  3. Abstract:
    • Numbering: Number all figures and tables consecutively and provide clear The abstract should provide a concise overview of the entire study.
    • It should briefly explain the background or purpose of the research, research problem or objective, methods, principal findings, and main conclusions.
    • The abstract should be descriptive, clear, and concise.
    • The abstract should contain approximately 100–200 words.
    • Avoid unnecessary details, citations, tables, or figures in the abstract.
  4. Keywords:
    • Provide a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 keywords.
    • Keywords should represent the main concepts, variables, topics, or subject areas discussed in the manuscript.
    • Separate each keyword clearly and avoid unnecessary repetition of words already contained in the title.
  5. Introduction:
    • Background: Explain the context of the research problem and the situation in which the problem can be observed.
    • Rationale: Explain why the research is important, who may benefit from it, and why the issue needs to be investigated.
    • Problem Statement: Identify the research problem or gap in existing knowledge that the study intends to address.
    • Objectives: Clearly state the objectives of the research and explain how the study addresses the identified problem or research gap.
    • Scope: Where appropriate, explain the limitations or boundaries of the study, such as geographical area, population, variables, or specific aspects being investigated.
  6. Literature Review:
    • Present a critical review of previous studies that are relevant to the research.
    • The literature review should not merely summarize previous publications.
    • Compare relevant theories, methods, findings, and perspectives from previous studies.
    • Explain how the existing literature relates to the present research.
    • Clearly demonstrate the research gap and the contribution expected from the study.
  7. Theoretical Background:
    • Where applicable, explain the theories, concepts, models, or theoretical frameworks used as the foundation of the research.
    • The theoretical background should be relevant to the research objectives and support the development of the analysis or hypotheses.
  8. Data and Methods:
    • Explain how the research data were collected or generated.
    • Describe the population, sample, research objects, data sources, instruments, and data collection procedures where applicable.
    • Explain how the data were analyzed.
    • The selected research methods must be appropriate to the objectives of the study.
    • Provide sufficient methodological information to allow readers to evaluate the validity and reliability of the research.
    • Where methodological limitations or problems occurred, explain how they were addressed and how their potential impact was minimized.
  9. Results and Discussion:
    • Present the research results clearly using appropriate text, tables, figures, graphs, or diagrams where necessary.
    • Tables, figures, graphs, and diagrams should be numbered and accompanied by clear titles or captions.
    • The accompanying text should highlight the most important findings rather than merely repeat information presented in tables or figures.
    • Explain and interpret the meaning of the research findings.
    • Discuss whether the findings are consistent with the research objectives and expectations.
    • Compare the findings with relevant previous research and theoretical perspectives.
    • Explain unexpected or significant findings where applicable.
    • Discuss the theoretical and/or practical implications of the findings.
  10. Conclusion
    • Summarize the principal findings of the research.
    • The conclusion should directly address the research objectives or questions.
    • Explain the main implications of the study where appropriate.
    • Recommendations for practice or future research may be included when relevant.
    • Avoid introducing new data or arguments that have not been discussed previously in the manuscript.
  11. Acknowledgement
    • Authors may acknowledge institutions, organizations, individuals, or funding agencies that provided significant support for the research.
    • Funding or research support should be clearly identified where applicable.
  12. References
    • Include all sources cited in the manuscript in the reference list.
    • Ensure that every reference listed has been cited in the manuscript and that every in-text citation has a corresponding entry in the reference list.
    • References should be accurate, complete, and consistently formatted.
    • Authors are responsible for verifying author names, publication titles, years, volume and issue numbers, page ranges, DOI information, and other bibliographic details.
    • Authors are encouraged to prioritize relevant and credible scholarly sources.
  13. Appendix
    • Appendices may be included when necessary to provide supplementary information that supports the manuscript.
    • Materials placed in an appendix should be relevant to the research but not essential to understanding the main text.
  14. Research Ethics and Originality
    • Manuscripts must be original and must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal at the same time.
    • Authors must properly acknowledge and cite the work of others.
    • Plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and other forms of research misconduct are not permitted.
    • Research involving human participants, animals, or other activities requiring ethical approval must comply with applicable ethical standards.
  15. Submission and Peer Review
    • Manuscripts must be submitted through the SOLUSI: Jurnal Kajian Ekonomi dan Bisnis online submission system.
    • Authors are responsible for ensuring that all manuscript metadata and author information entered into the system are complete and accurate.
    • Submitted manuscripts will undergo editorial evaluation and, when appropriate, peer review according to the journal's editorial policy.
    • Authors are expected to respond appropriately to editorial and reviewer comments and submit revisions within the specified period.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts comply with these guidelines before submission. Manuscripts that do not follow the journal's requirements may be returned to the authors for correction before proceeding to the editorial or peer-review process.
